The bible says that after digging through the roof the men lowered the mat that the paralyzed man was lying on down to where jesus was. Awesome he does amazing things. B it was noised that he was in the house. The bible tells us that the paralyzed man needed his friends to bring him to jesus.

4 since they were unable to get to jesus through the crowd they uncovered the roof above him made an opening and lowered the paralytic on his mat. And when they had dug an opening they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying. When he was very young his parents moved to nazareth in the area of galilee. 5 when jesus saw their faith he said to the paralytic son your sins are forgiven.

However the direction is not up and the situation is not out of control. B mark 2 1 12. The man is literally let down through the roof under the careful control of his concerned friends and into a situation controlled by the lord jesus christ. 4 being unable to get to him because of the crowd they removed the roof above him.

And when jesus grew up he moved to capernaum on the sea of galilee which was foretold by the prophet isaiah matthew 4 13 16. From episode 6 of the chosen based on matthew 9. Plus the roof wasn t made with large pieces of wood and didn t have shingles but had tiles or plaster that could be lifted or broken through easily to make a hole.
